Oona Kauppi (she/her) is a Dublin-based writer, researcher and arts professional originally from Helsinki, Finland.

Her work applies inter- and transdisciplinary methodologies to the production of writing, favouring practice-based and situated processes. Reoccuring themes in her writing are: the relationship between art objects and publicness; the politics of the gallery space; and the architecture of place. Through her work in the museum sector, Oona has become an expert in the relationality and materiality of contemporary art—as it is exhibited in Ireland and abroad—and in particular, how publics engage with art, broadly defined. Her recent academic research was on governmental infrastructures and planning in the heritage sector.
